Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Awareness
Hazardous materials (hazmat) awareness training is a course that teaches persons the knowledge and skills required to detect hazardous materials and respond to situations involving them. The course teaches the fundamentals of hazardous compounds, such as their properties, hazards, and risks. It also contains a detailed explanation of how hazardous items can be created and how to prevent them.
Anyone who may be compelled to respond to a hazardous materials event at work must receive Hazmat awareness training.
